My Story.
"When I grow up, I want to be an Artist." That was me on career day in Preschool and its been my constant ever since. My love for design never faded. It led me to my Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design from San Diego State University, as well as my participation in AIGA’s Portfolio Review with San Diego City College's Graphic Design Program.
By now, with all that technical stuff I just shared, you've probably got the hint that I'm from San Diego, CA. But it wasn't until I moved to Washington D.C., and then moved back home, that's when a lightbulb in my head switched on.
From 2013 to 2016 I explored different avenues in my personal and career life. This eventually spearheaded a business before I even knew I wanted one. Have you ever heard of the saying, "collect and select"? Within a year, I freelanced as a Stationery Designer, created logos for small businesses, interned for a Branding Consultant, and finally landed a position as an In-House Graphic Designer. Don't get too excited. It was for a sports marketing team. But after plenty of "outfit changes," I decided that my first "outfit" was my best fit — stationery and branding is where it's at. In 2017 "Made By Terri," was born.

I’m obsessed with details, nerd-out on strong branding, and cannot get enough of how words and letters can somehow form a beautiful typographic composition. When I’m not designing you can catch me gazing at a sunset, catching up on late night and radio talk shows, instagramming all of my husband’s goofy moments, and jamming to some 90s music playlist with our Cavatzu named, Gambino.
I’m a military wife, an amateur plant lady, a sand-between-my-toes type of girl, and your new best friend! Coffee, boba, wine? Let’s go!
